The Lagunitas School District, of which the Lagunitas and San Geronimo Schools are a part, is one of the most progressive public school districts in the United States, offering three alternative elementary programs (Open Classroom, Montessori, and Waldorf-Inspired) and a traditional middle school program to families of the Valley. San Geronimo also has its own post office. The San Geronimo Golf Course is one of the best golf courses in Marin.
